Nethra's aDesigner tool suite is based on Eclipse and provides a full suite of programming, compilation, configuration place and route, debug and performance-profiling tools. Free software libraries include a variety of signal-processing, image and video processing functions.

Video codec libraries include the Apple ProRes 422 video codec format, as well as VC-3 (the SMPTE version of Avid's DNxHD format), the Panasonic compatible DVCPRO HD video codec format, and the Panasonic and H.264-compatible AVC-Intra video codec format.

Developer boards for software development or for system-prototyping are available, either in PCI Express or bench-mount form-factors, including HD-SDI boards for HD video ingest/encode or playout/decode use.
