Design Support

Toshiba's microcontrollers are part of a total microcontroller system solution, supported by expert-trained technical professionals ready to answer design questions, provide application support, modify existing devices to meet customers' growing application needs, and develop systems, including software and/or hardware, for customers. Toshiba's integrated development tools include emulators, compilers, and debuggers suited to each microcontroller family.

Toshiba's SWIP (software IP) and Starter Kits help designers evaluate Toshiba microcontrollers early in the design cycle. The Starter Kit lets developers evaluate code, do software development, or develop and debug designs. Each kit contains a ready-to-use evaluation board, a complete development-software tool set, documentation, helpful applications notes, sample source code, and more.

Toshiba and third-party development tool vendors offer tools to support designs with the Toshiba RISC series of 32-and 64-bit microprocessors. Third-party support includes optimized tools ranging from compilers and RTOSs to debugging tools and simulators.
