AMD ASB2 Block Diagram

The Second Generation AMD Embedded BGA platform with the ASB2 socket features the AMD Turion II Neo or AMD Athlon II Neo processors. Combined with the AMD 785E chipset, it targets applications needing increased performance with low average power draw. This embedded 64-bit platform is designed with computing features specifically for thin-clients, point-of-sale and kiosk systems, military systems, digital signage, gaming machines, medical imaging, industrial controls and single board computing.

The processor and chipset solutions are small footprint, lidless packages allowing for smaller and thinner form factors. Features include HyperTransport 3.0 technology, PCI Express Generation 2, DirectX 10.1, and high definition hardware video decode. The platform also delivers high-performance graphics with integrated ATI Radeon graphics and ATI Avivo HD technology, as well as an option to pair with discreet ATI Radeon embedded graphics processors.

The ASB2 platform offers several options for performance and power ratios, with 8, 12, 15, or 25W TDP options for single or dual-core processors up to 2.2 GHz.
