The ML675050 32-bit ARM7TDMITM-based ASSP microcontroller targets IC card reader/writers, supports two ISO-7816 T=0/T=1 protocol compliant IC card interfaces, a variety of serial interfaces, a QVGA B/W STN LCD controller, and a USB 2.0 FS host and device controller. The ML675050 includes a Modulo Calculation Accelerator for RSA encryption/decryption. A battery-backup RAM is integrated for storing crypto-key data.

The ML67Q5250 is a fingerprint authentication LSI, which executes the entire fingerprint authentication process, such as capturing fingerprint image from an external sensor, creation and storage of fingerprint templates, and comparison of presented fingerprints to stored templates for authentication on a single device. Fingerprint template creation and authentication is performed by a hardware accelerator on chip, with no external memory. The accelerator is a hardware implementation of a high accuracy algorithm licensed from Precise Biometrics. The algorithm is suited for all slide sensors and most area sensors.
