Sitara AM37X

Targets: Computers & Peripherals, Consumer, General Purpose, Industrial, Medical

Targeting applications such as, portable data terminals, portable medical equipment and human machine interface (HMI) industrial applications, the Sitara AM37x ARM Cortex-A8 microprocessors, the AM3715 and AM3703, offer nearly a 40 percent increase in ARM performance while reducing power consumption by up to 30 percent when compared to previous generations.

The Sitara AM37x microprocessors support up to a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 frequency while maintaining low power levels to meet varying performance budgets. Code compatible with TI's OMAP35x and Sitara AM35x line of processors, the Sitara AM37x microprocessors provide an increased SDRAM Controller performance and 100 percent increase in L1 cache and allow for multiple connectivity options with a wide range of peripherals including, USB 2.0 on-the-go (OTG), MMC/SD card interface x3 and 1.8V input/output. While the AM3715 supports an increased performance PowerVR SGX graphics engine to accelerate 3D graphical user interfaces. The graphics engine can process up to 20 Mpolygons/sec and supports OPENGL ES 2.0

Software support for Sitara AM37x microprocessors includes board support packages for Linux, Android, and Windows Embedded CE.
