TMS570

Targets: Automotive

The TMS570 is an ARM Cortex R4-based microcontroller targeted for safety critical automotive applications, including braking, steering and high end chassis control. The TMS570 incorporates enhanced safety features such as error-correcting code (ECC) on program and data memory, built in CPU self test (BIST) that can be enabled during run time and peripheral memory self test. Devices are available with dual Cortex-R4 cores in lockstep for fastest error response time.

The TMS570 supports an embedded FlexRay controller for communication with the automobile FlexRay bus. Some products in the TMS570 platform include dual ADC, dual timers and dual clock sources for additional application level redundancy and functionality. TMS570 microcontrollers are suitable for high performance system requiring compliance to the IEC61508 SIL3 and the ISO26262 ASIL-C/D standards such as Chassis Control, Driver Assistance and EPS applications.
